3.5Inch Copper Stump Removal Kit

This practical stump management kit delivers 23 solid copper nails (3.5 inches / 89 mm × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (same dimensions), and 1 cobalt-modified high-speed steel drill bit nail (2.7 inches / 69 mm × 3.5 mm). All components are manufactured to tight tolerances for compatibility with standard hammers and mallets. Copper acts via slow-release ionisation: upon contact with moisture and organic acids in decaying wood, Cu²⁺ ions migrate into living tissue, binding to sulphhydryl groups in proteins and disabling key metabolic pathways. The stainless steel nail allows repeated reuse for creating starter indentations, while the cobalt drill bit nail retains sharpness longer than standard carbon steel — particularly advantageous when working with sycamore, beech, or other dense hardwood stumps common across the UK. For best outcomes, insert nails into freshly cut or recently felled stumps before secondary growth begins — timing enhances absorption and reduces latency in visible effects.
