This allows the cash drawer to be connected directly to the computer without requiring a POS printer or cash register. The BT-100U uses a virtual serial port driver, making it appear as a standard RS232 serial port to software, allowing existing POS applications to communicate with the device seamlessly. Each module is assigned a unique serial number, and the driver software automatically assigns an available COM port to each recognized device, supporting multiple triggers on a single computer. The cash drawer connects directly to the computer via the BT-100U, powered entirely by the USB bus without the need for an external power source.
