With the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter, you can connect Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 devices (like external hard drives and Thunderbolt docks) to any Thunderbolt/USB 4 or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port on your Mac. Since it's a bidirectional adapter, you can also connect Thunderbolt 3 devices to a Mac with a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port and macOS Sierra (or later). Additionally, you can use it to connect Thunderbolt-compatible displays (like the Apple Thunderbolt Display and LG Thunderbolt 2 displays) to any Thunderbolt/USB 4 or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port on your Mac. Please note that you'll need a power source when using this adapter with an Apple Thunderbolt Display, as the display does not transfer power through the adapter.
