Touch the two pins of the capacitor with the red and black probes; polarity does not matter. The voltmeter will display the remaining voltage of the capacitor. When the voltage reaches around 10V, the LED blinks on and off. Continue discharging for approximately 10 seconds to reduce voltage below 5V. How to convert AC voltage to DC equivalent: The voltmeter displays DC voltage. For AC measurements, apply a simple conversion.
