Kenko's research shows that the larger the glass element, the greater the glass distortion. We developed a ne.w special technology that aims to minimise stress on the glass and provide the best optical performance of the filter.By adopting the ne.wly developed 'Floating Frame' System Technology, which provides a special elastic cushion layer between the glass and frame, we succeeded in firmly fixing glass while reducing the pressure to a minimum level. Flatness of the glass is evaluated by the number and form of ne.wton rings. On the left image there are lots of irregularly-shaped rings, showing the glass surface distorted and twisted.
