Product Description Overview SNZB-05P is a low-power water leak sensor utilizing the Zigbee 3.0 protocol to detect real-time water leakage in the environment. The sensor features multiple detection methods for various scenarios. The elevated probe design can detect a 0.5mm liquid level and allows for use on metal surfaces without false triggers, enabling reliable leak detection. The concave water collection design detects drips and helps prevent leaks at the source, suitable for drip detection applications. When used with a water leak detection cable (sold separately or as part of a sensor kit), it supports both wide-range and narrow-area monitoring, making it ideal for basements, laundry rooms, and areas under sinks. The extension cable can be connected in series with no limit on total length. Water damage often goes unnoticed until significant issues arise. With the SNZB-05P, users receive app push notifications to their smartphone when water leakage is detected. Zigbee local scenes can trigger a connected gateway’s sound alarm even during Wi-Fi network outages. The sensor supports email and SMS notifications when used with compatible services and configurations. Multiple alert types help enable prompt response to prevent property damage and mold growth. During a water leak event, the sensor sends alerts every ten minutes to help ensure notifications are not missed due to network fluctuations, enhancing property protection. Powered by a CR2477 battery, the SNZB-05P provides over five years of operation, reducing the need for frequent battery replacements. It has an IP67 rating for waterproof and dustproof performance, offering short-term immersion protection and reliable function in humid or dusty environments. The sensor includes gold-plated probes for improved corrosion resistance and is constructed with UV-resistant materials to help prevent discoloration over time. The SNZB-05P water leak sensor is compatible with Zigbee hubs that support the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, including models such as SONOFF NSPanel Pro, SONOFF iHost, SONOFF ZB Bridge, ZB Bridge-P, ZB Bridge-U, and SmartThings Hub v3. Compatibility with NSPanel Pro will be available starting in August with firmware version V3.4.0.
