The vehicle starts only if the key ID matches the engine ID. The base station sends a low frequency signal to begin authentication. - Principle 2: The key end transponder is powered by the base station’s low frequency signal. During authentication, the transponder first sends its ID. After verification by the base station, the base station sends a sequence of random numbers and MAC addresses and responds. The system uses encrypted signals for security.
