The replacement BIOS battery is installed in the motherboard and supplies power for storing the settings stored in the BIOS (CMOS RAM), such as the date and hardware configuration.
What are the advantages of Li-Mn technology?
Lithium manganese dioxide batteries are characterized by low self-discharge, high energy density, and long storage life (at least 10 years). They are among the most commonly used lithium batteries. However, they can only be stored and operated within a limited temperature range. These batteries are used in cameras, memory backup, defibrillators, emergency transmitters, and tracking devices. Button cells are used primarily for watches, calculators, and small electronic devices. Lithium manganese oxide (LMO) batteries are characterized by low internal resistance and high thermal stability. They are long-lasting, offer maximum charging current, and consistently high capacity because they lack the memory effect. LMO batteries are particularly suitable for smartphones, cameras, tablets, MP3 players, as well as tools, medical technology, and electric vehicles.

There is a risk of short circuit. 5. If the battery is damaged or misused, fumes may escape. The battery may burn or explode. Provide fresh air and seek medical attention if you experience any discomfort. The fumes may irritate the respiratory system. 6. If the battery is misused or damaged, flammable fluid may leak from the battery. Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If the fluid gets into the eyes, seek additional medical attention. Leaking battery fluid can cause skin irritation or burns. 7. If the battery is defective, fluid may leak and contaminate nearby objects. Check affected parts. Clean or replace them if necessary. 8. Do not short-circuit the battery. Keep the unused battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that could cause a short circuit between the contacts. A short circuit between the battery contacts can result in burns or fire. 9. Sharp objects such as nails or screwdrivers or external force can damage the battery. This can cause an internal short circuit, causing the battery to burn, smoke, explode, or overheat. 10. Never service damaged batteries. All battery servicing should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service centers. 11. Protect the battery from heat, including prolonged sunlight, fire, dirt, water, and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and short circuit. 12. Never use the battery for any purpose other than that specified. Never use a damaged battery. If the battery becomes hot, discolored, deformed, or leaks during use, charging, or storage, you must replace it with a new one immediately for safety reasons. 13. Only operate and store the battery at an ambient temperature between -10°C and +45°C. Do not leave the battery in a car, for example, in summer. At temperatures < 0°C, device-specific performance may be reduced. 14. Only charge the battery at ambient temperatures between 0°C and +40°C. Charging outside the temperature range may damage the battery or increase the risk of fire. 15. The battery temperature rises during charging. Do not charge the battery for longer than 12 hours at a time. Only charge the battery indoors. 16. Store the battery at 60% charge and recharge it every 90 days. 17. In case of fire, do not extinguish with water. Use sand or a powder extinguisher, and only if you are certain you are safe. There is a risk of explosion!
