Science-Based Insect Discovery Kit

Engineered to support authentic early-years science practice, this kit includes a 19 x 15 x 19 cm observation cage with full-side mesh panels, an 85 cm telescopic net with tactile lock feedback, a shallow-profile insect trap, two 3x magnifying glasses, and stainless-steel-tipped tweezers. Materials are selected for longevity and child-safe operation: food-grade plastic for cage body and net housing, and nickel-plated metal for high-contact parts. The cage lid seals with audible click confirmation; the net locks with resistance-based feedback so children know it’s secured; the tweezers feature rounded, non-slip tips; and the magnifiers have scratch-resistant lenses. Designed for repeated use across seasons and locations — from urban balconies to rural hedgerows — it promotes repeatable, respectful interaction with local invertebrate life.
