Japanese King PB-04 sharpening stone with grit 800/6000 Stones are the best way to grind, sharpen and polish the cutting edge. This method is also used by Japanese knife factories. The King PB-04 800/6000 sharpening stone is a flat, rectangular stone with dimensions 185x63x25mm and a gradation (number of grains, abrasive particles per cm2) of 800 on one side and 6000 on the other. This universal set is ideal for regular sharpening of undamaged cutting edges (grit 800), as well as for polishing blades and making the edges super sharp (grit 6000). The stone was placed on a plastic base equipped with rubber, non-slip feet. The pure material used to produce these stones is aluminum trioxide Al 2 O 3 (corundum). Place the stone steadily on the countertop. You can place a damp cloth or paper towel under the stone to prevent it from moving. The knife should be placed at an angle of 15-20 degrees to the stone. 3. Depending on the type of blade: - single-sided knife - sharpen 90% on one side and 10% on the other - double-sided knife - sharpen equally on both sides 4. After sharpening, remove burrs from the cutting edge. To do this, place the knife perpendicular to the stone and, maintaining this angle, gently move it along the entire cutting edge, once on one side and then on the other side of the blade. Maintenance The stone should be thoroughly washed and dried after use. Over time, depressions may appear on the surface and should be leveled, e.g. using a special leveling stone.
