Flat Keepsake Display Shadow Box

External measurements: 20 cm width × 20 cm height × 5.5 cm depth. Made from solid wood (not veneer or chipboard) with a matte-sanded surface and precision-cut 3 mm thick acrylic front panel. Internal usable space: approx. 19.2 × 19.2 × 4.8 cm after frame allowance. The integrated vertical slot is 1.8 cm wide and extends 18.5 cm vertically — sized specifically for standard UK/EU paper tickets (max 8.5 × 20 cm) and postcards (10 × 15 cm). Includes no fixings, batteries, or accessories — just the box itself, ready for immediate use. Each component serves dual purpose: the wood base provides acoustic dampening and thermal stability (reducing condensation risk behind acrylic), while the slot doubles as a visual guide — creating implied lines that draw the eye across displayed items, enhancing storytelling flow. Acrylic transparency exceeds 92% light transmission, minimising colour shift versus glass alternatives commonly used in higher-priced units. Widely adopted by UK university alumni societies curating graduation-travel hybrids (e.g., ‘Oxford to Santorini’), NHS staff commemorating overseas volunteering, and bilingual families preserving multilingual postcards from relatives across Germany, Spain and Ireland — serving both functional archiving and quiet emotional anchoring.
