This thumbscrew enables an exact tension of the drive gears for the proper hold on the filament, with the ability to release the strain and simply load or unload the filament. Double the gears and double the fun, two drive wheels grab the filament from each side to provide a solid and reliable feed for the hot end. . The dual drive gears of the extruder can provide a consistent flexible filament flow in a direct drive or Bowden configuration. The light-weight style of the Dual Drive extruder makes it useful for direct drive configurations. Instead of pulling from the Inlet of the extruder, pull from the outlet. This is to help prevent the filament from sticking in the extruder. When you do a cold pull, the filament is usually more substantial at the tip. So, if you pull from the PTFE tube side, this will take the thin side of the filament through the extruder resulting in an easy atomic pull and an unblock nozzle. Due to the problems of lighting effects and shooting angles, there will be certain tolerances in the product, please understand. Please allow 0-1cm error due to the manual measurment.
